What is a cut flower farm?

We grow flowers that we cut specifically for your enjoyment.  We operate as a "florist" with the exception that we grow the flowers we sell. Why is this important? We provide vibrant fresh cut flowers that are "made in the USA" (around 80% of the flowers on the floral market come from outside the United States).  If you buy from us locally, our flowers are not damaged from shipping and are hardier in the vase.  We also carry a diversity of flowers the floral wholesale markets do not carry; for example, we carry an old fashioned favorite, zinnias, which do not ship, but can be purchased locally.  We consider it a privilege to serve our communities floral needs.

Where can you buy our flowers?

We sell directly to the public at the Rocky Mount Farmers Market on Saturdays.  We also sell directly from the farm, but please give us a call to make sure we are available when you visit.

Where are we located?

We enjoy life on the farm and invite you to come visit the farm when you have a chance.  We live over a mile down a state maintained dirt road that dead ends onto our farm.  In Castalia, NC, turn off Hwy 58 onto Simmons Road.  While traveling down the road, you will see farm fields and trees on both sides of the road.  There is also a good chance you will see wildlife, like whitetail deer, rabbits, or hawks.  After you travel through multiple turns and twists in the road, you cross two creek bottoms, drive through the gate, and up a steep hill. There you will see our home and farm.  We live on the road less traveled, where peaceful breezes blow, and bob-white quail ring out their call.
